The City Council of Lisbon, Iowa, approved routine business and contractor payments and placed a proposed chemical feed building and Well No. 5 on the record during its Aug. 11, 2025 meeting.
Councilmember John Bardsley moved to approve the consent agenda — including the July 28 minutes, list of bills, utility refunds and the July treasurer’s report — and Mike Williams seconded. The motion carried 4-0 with Rick Scott absent.
The council then approved Payment #3 to Linn Haven Land Improvements for grading at the city’s sports complex after a motion by Nathan Smith, seconded by Mike Williams. The minutes record the vote as "All Ayes" and the payment was approved 4-0; the payment amount is not specified in the minutes.
The council voted to open a public hearing at 7:14 p.m. to receive information on plans for a Chemical Feed Building and Well No. 5.
