The Sauk Centre City Council reviewed a speed control evaluation at its April 15 meeting that covered 10th Street between Centre and Getty streets. The study, which recorded traffic between March 18 and April 8, found an average daily volume of 371 vehicles and an average speed of 14.4 mph. According to the report presented to the council, 98.5% of recorded vehicles (365 cars) traveled below the posted 30 mph limit; six vehicles exceeded it.
Police Department staff presented the graphic summarizing daily speeds and noted ongoing monitoring of the area.
