Charlestown board approves agenda, routine claims and a sponsored band contract

The Charlestown Board of Public Works and Safety met April 2 at City Hall with Mayor Treva Hodges presiding. The board unanimously approved the agenda, routine minutes and claims, a sponsored band contract for Music in the Park, and then adjourned.
Mayor Treva Hodges presented the agenda, noting one change to add an additional claim. Ernie Thompson moved to approve the agenda and Maggie Wild seconded; the board voted 3-0 to approve. Under standing business, Maggie Wild moved to approve the March 19, 2025 minutes, the listed claims, an additional claim to Lincoln Springs Tree Farm for $5,000.00, and the payroll voucher covering March 10–March 29, 2026; Ernie Thompson seconded and the motion passed 3-0.
In new business, the board approved a contract for Doc Holiday to perform at Music in the Park on Aug. 7 for $900; the contract was noted in the minutes as sponsored. Ernie Thompson moved to approve the contract and Maggie Wild seconded; the motion passed 3-0.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn by Ernie Thompson, seconded by Maggie Wild, and a unanimous vote to adjourn. The minutes include signature lines dated April 16, 2026.
