The Charlestown Board of Public Works approved the final contract for this summer's Music in the Parks program, agreeing to hire Doc Holiday to perform on Aug. 7 for $900.
Parks staff said the city uses a standard general service agreement, and that the band has provided a W-9 and workers'compensation insurance waiver. Staff also said one sponsor is covering the cost of the entire Music in the Parks season.
Ernie Thompson moved to approve the contract and Maggie Wild seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
No additional discussion or expenditures were scheduled at the meeting.
