Commission recommends Mountain View Estates Phase 6 to supervisors

The North Middleton Township Planning Commission on March 17 voted unanimously to recommend the Board of Supervisors approve the Final Subdivision Plan for Mountain View Estates Phase 6, which proposes 35 single-family homes and a residual lot for a possible Phase 7.
Applicant representative John Murphy presented the plan. Commissioner Mehdi Atar asked about ownership of the development’s pump station; Murphy said the applicant will comply with the Authority. Township Engineer Doug Brehm said he did not believe the Township and county permit private pump stations and that his office had no outstanding comments that would block a recommendation.
Mehdi Atar moved to recommend the plan to the Board of Supervisors, conditioned on compliance with engineering and county comments, resolution of Authority comments, and a standard Developer’s Agreement; Scott Forsythe seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final action.
