A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) representative contacted Daniels County during the Nov. 22 special meeting to relay changes to hours of operation at northern Montana ports of entry.
Christy, a Daniels County contact on the call, summarized the press release and told commissioners that the Scobey Port of Entry will revert to historical seasonal hours effective Jan. 6: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 1 through Sept. 15, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 16 through May 31. The caller offered to host a CBP town‑hall in the county to answer public questions; commissioners said they would receive the press release by email and would not schedule a town‑hall unless the community requested one.
Christy said she would forward the press release and contact information to county staff for distribution. Commissioners thanked the caller for the update.
