West Branch approves $162,928 pay estimate as Cedar-Johnson Road work progresses

The West Branch City Council approved Pay Estimate Number 1 for $162,928.26 payable to Boomerang Corp for the 2025 Cedar-Johnson Road Reconstruction Project.
City Engineer Dave Schechinger reported the west side of Cedar-Johnson (between Serenity and Ember Lane) has been poured, the east side is scheduled to be poured the following Tuesday, and Boomerang is progressing quickly on the north end while addressing a small issue on the south end. Schechinger said overall he was pleased with the contractor’s progress.
Council approved Resolution 2025-68 by voice vote. The engineer said the project should continue on schedule pending resolution of the south-end issue.
