Crawford County board approves wage changes, HIPAA renewal and $1 million cyber liability

Crawford County’s Board of Supervisors on June 9 approved a series of personnel and insurance actions and authorized payment of vendor claims totaling $895,501.67.
The board, chaired by County Supervisor Craig Dozark, approved changes of wages for multiple offices including the Conservation Department, Auditor’s Office, Motor Vehicle/Driver’s License/Treasurer’s Office and Recorder’s Office. The minutes list individual staff actions including wage or status changes for Jeffry Schwager, custodian; Jason Blunk, Maintenance Employee III in the Engineer’s Office; and William Blunk, Maintenance Employee IV in the Engineer’s Office.
Supervisor Kyle Schultz moved to approve FY2026 wages for Secondary Road administrative assistants; Supervisor Dave Muhlbauer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. A separate motion by Supervisor Heiden, seconded by Supervisor Schultz, approved FY2026 wages for Secondary Road bargaining-unit employees and also passed unanimously.
The board approved renewal of its HIPAA program (minutes list the item as “HIPPA Program renewal”) on a motion by Supervisor Rosburg, seconded by Supervisor Heiden; the motion passed unanimously. The board also approved an increase in cyber liability coverage to a $1,000,000 limit at a premium of $7,011.00 after a motion by Supervisor Dave Muhlbauer and second by Supervisor Heiden; that motion passed unanimously.
Following those votes the board recognized and approved claims. The minutes include an itemized vendor list and fund totals adding to $895,501.67. Notable line items recorded in the minutes include Growmark FS fuel, $113,652.20; Van Diest Supply Company, $47,183.95; Team Ford Lincoln (new vehicle), $39,711.00; and Oden Enterprises (structural steel), $25,716.08. Fund totals in the minutes show allocations to General Basic, Secondary Road and other funds.
