The West Branch City Council approved several routine administrative and financial items on June 2, 2025.
Resolutions approved included an annual IT maintenance agreement with Mainstay Systems (2025‑59) and a subscription agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc. (2025‑60) for $24,148.41. Council also approved Resolution 2025‑61 to enter an agreement with Lakeshore Recycling Services LLC for solid waste and recycling collection; City Clerk Leslie Brick noted Lakeshore had not yet signed the agreement and City Attorney Kevin Olson said an early‑termination clause tied to service levels had been added given past service issues.
Speer Financial advisor Maggie Burger reported that the city’s General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2025, were sold to Robert W. Baird & Co. of Milwaukee at 4.03%; she said the A1 rating and interest rate were "very good for a city of our size." The council approved Resolution 2025‑62 awarding the bonds.
The council also set salaries for appointed officials and employees for Fiscal Year 2026 (Resolution 2025‑58), approved an engineering services contract with Calhoun‑Burns & Associates for 2025 bridge inspection and load rating (Resolution 2025‑66), and approved the revised site plan and final plat for Parkside Hills (see separate article). All of these resolutions passed by voice or roll‑call votes as recorded in the minutes.
