Pennock council approves consent agenda, hears sheriff hours and Joint Powers Board preview

At its Dec. 3 meeting Pennock City Council approved the agenda and consent items, received the sheriff’s monthly hours (45 hours in October, 51.5 in November), heard a preview of the Dec. 14 Joint Powers Board meeting, thanked two council members for their service and adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
The Pennock City Council met Dec. 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pennock Community Center and approved its meeting agenda and consent agenda, Mayor Kevin Crowley said.
Council member Kerry Gross moved to accept the agenda, with Council member Bruce Bastin seconding; the motion passed. Council member Bruce Bastin then moved to approve the consent agenda, which included the Nov. 13, 2024 Canvassing Board minutes, Nov. 13, 2024 Council minutes, and payment of December claims; Council member Kerry Gross seconded and the motion passed.
Deputy Meghan Dimler provided the sheriff’s report, recording 45 hours in October and 51.5 hours in November for the City of Pennock. Joel Johnson, president of the Pennock Joint Powers Board, introduced topics to be discussed at the board’s meeting on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
No members of the public spoke during the Citizens Forum. In other business, council members thanked Council members Karen Skaggs and Kerry Gross for their service. With no further business, Council member Kerry Gross moved to adjourn; Council member Karen Skaggs seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
