Pennock canvassing board accepts Nov. 5 tallies; meeting adjourns

The Pennock City Council Canvassing Board met on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at the Pennock Community Center and accepted the Nov. 5 election tallies as presented.
Mayor Kevin J. Crowley called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Council member Bruce Bastin moved to accept the vote totals "as is," and Council member Karen Skaggs seconded the motion. The board voted to approve the motion (motion passed).
The canvass recorded the following tallies as presented by the clerk: mayor — Kevin J. Crowley, 116 votes; Bruce Bastin, 112 votes. For the two four-year council seats the reported totals were Jeffrey A. Arends, 131 votes, and Shane Dillabough, 119 votes. For the two-year council seat the reported totals were Lance Crowe, 95 votes; Kerry Gross, 56 votes; and Karen Skaggs, 55 votes. Council member Jeffrey A. Arends was listed as absent from the meeting.
After accepting the tallies, Council member Karen Skaggs moved to adjourn, Council member Kerry Gross seconded, and the board adjourned at 6:40 p.m. The meeting record is signed by Kevin J. Crowley, Mayor, and Dawn M. Johnson, Admin/Clerk-Treasurer.
