She described operational impacts from the current configuration: state-originated queries are not reaching the county CAD reliably, which lengthens traffic stops and duplicates work across systems. The sheriff requested that commissioners sign a letter on county letterhead naming the county officials to the state security group so technical staff can enable proper routing of messages and expedite fixes.
The sheriff also reviewed operational data (calls and incidents), training schedules for deputies and dispatchers, and the need to coordinate meeting space for Motorola's PowerPoint and site walk. Commissioners agreed a letter would be drafted and signed so the technical work could proceed ahead of the vendor walkthrough.
The sheriff asked that county IT and commissioners coordinate to ensure the right names and authorizations are provided to the state before the contractor visit; staff will prepare a draft letter and return it for signature.
