Pierz council approves Park Commission postings, hiring plan and meeting-time change

Clubhouse Lead Andy Leidenfrost asked the city council to post two Team Lead positions and to hire 10–12 part-time clubhouse employees for the upcoming season. Leidenfrost said the Team Lead wage range would be $19.99–$21.00 per hour, and part-time clubhouse wages would be $14.00–$16.50 per hour; seven employees are expected to return and about four new hires are needed.
Council Member Sarah Fyten moved to approve posting for the Team Lead positions; Council Member Lynn Egan seconded the motion. The motion to post the Team Lead positions carried unanimously. The council also approved changing the Park Committee meeting time from the first Monday to the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. (motion: Sarah Fyten; second: Lynn Egan). Leidenfrost reported 32 memberships sold during a holiday special, six of them new, and noted one remaining seasonal membership still available for 2026.
Leidenfrost also said Freedom Fest proposed a $1,000 sponsorship that would allow the campground to serve as a bus stop and provide limited overflow camping; the council later approved a $1,000 donation to Freedom Fest during the city-administrator update.
