Northfield council confirms lot split, approves sale of two surplus vehicles

Mayor Jenn Domzalski presided over the Village of Northfield council’s May 24 meeting, where members approved a series of routine motions including confirmation of a Planning Commission land split and authorization to sell two surplus vehicles.
The council voted to confirm the Planning Commission’s approval of a lot consolidation and split for property at 71 Heights Avenue owned by James Adams. Kevin Lewis moved to confirm the commission’s action and Renell Noack seconded; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with councilmembers voting yes.
The council also authorized the Law Director to place out-of-service cruiser 838 (a 2014 Ford Police Utility vehicle retired in 2021) on GovDeals.com for sale. Alan Hipps made the motion and Kevin Lewis seconded; roll-call votes were recorded as yes by the council members present and the motion was approved.
Service Superintendent Jason Walters asked for and won authorization to list the Service Department’s black 2013 Ford Explorer on GovDeals.com. Councilmember Renell Noack moved the sale and Jesse Ferko seconded; the motion passed on a roll-call vote.
