Historical Society thanks village; Northfield announces workshops, movie night and a resident complaint about feral cats

Ellen Bertel, president of the Historical Society of Olde Northfield, thanked the Village of Northfield for a donation and announced an open house on Sunday, June 25 and the Society's next meeting on June 27 at Northfield Center Hall.
Mayor Jenn Domzalski announced community events including a rain barrel workshop on Tuesday, June 20 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. (a printable flyer is posted on the village website) and said the Recreation Board's next meeting will be July 5. The Mayor also said attendance for the first Movie in the Park was 31 people and that the next movie, The Sandlot, will show on Saturday, July 8.
During announcements a resident raised a complaint about feral cats in her neighborhood; Mayor Domzalski said she would discuss the issue with Police Chief Brian Zajac and explore possible responses. No formal action was taken at the meeting on the matter.
Additional announcements included a Ground Xero grand-opening event scheduled for June 23 at 5:00 p.m.
