Commission debates RFP vs consultant route for housing trust; commissioners press for stronger nonprofit performance measures

Several commissioners also raised concerns about funding nonprofit organizations and the consistency of performance data. Speakers urged stricter alignment of nonprofit reporting with the county’s strategic plan, more meaningful performance metrics, and greater transparency in the Community Partnership Program (CPP) scoring and dashboard reporting. Commissioners asked staff to prepare a consolidated spreadsheet of agreed‑upon budget items and to publish budget Q&A responses and supplemental materials ahead of the June 2 meeting so the full commission may review proposed amendments before final votes.
Staff said they would prepopulate items reflecting consensus and circulate the folder and email copies by Monday; they noted the usual agenda cycles and the option to request a special call for earlier action if needed.
