Sudbury School Committee creates Tri‑District calendar subcommittee, approves meeting schedule and several administrative motions

On June 16 the Sudbury School Committee voted on a package of administrative items, including creating a Tri‑District Calendar Review Subcommittee with Lincoln and Lincoln‑Sudbury Regional High School (LSRHS), approving the FY26 meeting schedule and passing the Consent Calendar.
Following a recommendation from the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC), Chair Karyn Jones moved to combine the three calendar subcommittees; the motion was seconded by Vice Chair Jessica McCready and passed 5-0. The committee also voted 5-0 to designate Karyn Jones as an alternate who may be invited to participate when an appointed Sudbury representative cannot attend. A minor edit to the Tri‑District charge was proposed and approved by unanimous roll-call vote.
Separately, the committee approved the FY26 School Committee meeting calendar as amended and approved the Consent Calendar (including a Loring PTO Grade 5 gift request, warrants, and the May 19 minutes) in unanimous votes.
The Tri‑District Subcommittee will schedule meetings in July and August to review data, invite faith leaders for input and hold a public hearing as part of its charge. The packet included drafts of the charge and supporting policies for review.
