Rock Creek approves $50,000 payment toward Fire Substation truck and allows sponsor lettering

Councilmember Dan Saumer reported the city had received $20,000 in donations from the Grandy Lions and $10,000 from the Rock Creek Lions, and that the City of Rock Creek had pledged $20,000 toward the purchase. Council moved to pay $50,000 toward the invoice; the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, Rush City requested permission to place sponsor recognition lettering on the fire truck reading "Sponsored By: Grandy Lions, Rock Creek Lions, and City of Rock Creek." Council approved the lettering, and Bob Carlson said the lettering should be completed within a week of council approval.
The council also approved a water-line connection quote not to exceed $850 for the Fire Substation’s water tank and accepted related sign and equipment quotes elsewhere on the agenda.
