Rock Creek council delays decision on City Administrator posting amid debate over internal promotion

Council Member Don Ramberg said he preferred proceeding with the job posting as originally drafted while allowing internal candidates to apply; Council Member Dan Saumer agreed with that approach. After further discussion the council concluded it needed additional consideration and will revisit the job description and staffing options at the next City Council Work Session Meeting.
No motion to hire or to alter the job description was adopted at the meeting. The minutes record a procedural motion at the end of the session: Sam Christenson moved to adjourn at 5:03 PM; the motion was seconded by Don Ramberg and carried on a unanimous vote of ayes.
