Council moves to fill public works vacancies, promotes internal candidate

Staff asked council to authorize advertising and initiating the civil service hiring process for the resulting vacancy for an equipment operator.
Mr. Stoall also presented Sarah Shamba as the top candidate for public works administrative assistant. Shamba has worked as a contracted temporary employee since last September; staff recommended hiring her at step one with a scheduled move to step two upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
