Swisher council approved routine agenda items, appointments and a first/ final reading motion for an ordinance
Summary
At its July 8 meeting the council approved the agenda and consent agenda, authorized payouts and a small change order, appointed Emily Carlson to the community fund board, approved an event permit for Sept. 7, and moved Ordinance 6 to final reading.
The Swisher City Council on July 8 approved several routine and project-related items.
By voice vote the council approved the meeting agenda and the consent agenda. Council approved a maintenance repair for wastewater blower No. 1 and approved payout No. 3 to contractor B. Schmid. The council also approved Change Order No. 2, increasing the sanitary sewer contract by $7,613.32.
Council approved Resolution 45 (2024) appointing Emily Carlson to the Swisher Community Fund Board of Trustees, noting staggered terms will be used so not all seats expire simultaneously. The council approved an event permit for the Swisher Men’s Club Car Show on Sept. 7, including street closures.
On Ordinance 6 of 2024 (amending chapter 165.29, supplementary district regulations), council completed first reading and voted to place the ordinance on final reading, with a roll call recorded.
