North Butler board approves multiple staff hires, resignations and volunteer appointment

The North Butler Community School District Board of Education approved a slate of personnel changes at its Aug. 20, 2024 regular meeting in the Greene School Media Center.
The board voted to accept resignations from Travis Holm (transportation/grounds) and Jasmine Spratt (associate) and to hire a series of replacements and new staff. The motion to approve the personnel actions was moved by Heather Shook and seconded by Ty Crawford‑Miller; it carried unanimously.
Approved hires and terms included Olivia Rademaker (associate, $14 per hour); Kourtney Spratt (van driver, $55 per route); Richard Burlingame (bus driver, $55 per route); James Good (transportation/grounds director, $58,700 per year, 12‑month contract); Tori Schoenfeld (media, $58,508 for 176.5 days); Keely Hanson and Sarah Hoveland (associates, $14 per hour); among others. The board also approved Ainsley Lovrien for junior high volleyball ($1,828), Chase Stohr for extended day ($2,804), Billie Buss as concession sponsor ($2,300), and a volunteer credential for Randy Demro (football). Kristi Anderson was approved for transfer to day custodian.
Board procedures on the votes were recorded in the minutes as standard motions with seconding members; all personnel motions were carried unanimously. The district superintendent, Bryan Boysen, and district staff were present at the meeting.
The board adjourned at 6:49 p.m. and tentatively scheduled its next regular meeting for Sept. 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in Allison.
