Randolph council sets FY 2025‑26 wages, approves claims and schedules citywide cleanup

Res. 13‑25, approved on a motion by Noah Richardson and seconded by Michael R. Berger, sets the Library Director’s wage at $10.25 per hour, the City Clerk’s wage at $21.26 per hour, and part‑time mowing, parks, and streets employees at $18.58 per hour. The resolution passed on a roll call vote with Councilpersons Berger, Avey and Richardson recorded as voting in favor.
The council approved the accounts payable and payroll totals presented in the meeting materials, which listed a report total of $54,563.47 and itemized claims across funds including general, road use, water and sewer accounts. The claims report showed a large sewer project payment (Clean Infusion LLC, Pay App 5 Sewer System Project) of $44,369.80 among claims listed in the record.
Councilmembers also designated city‑wide cleanup dates from April 18 to April 28, 2025 and directed that notices be posted at the library, city hall and local businesses. The council voted to table action on a proposed library appointment. During discussion the council directed the city clerk to consult the city attorney and send notice to the owner of property at 210 N Washington St. where personal property remained after foreclosure, and agreed that a notice of violation will be served to the owner of dogs running at large at 201 S Washington.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro‑tem Brian H. Hardy and adjourned at 8:09 p.m. on a motion by Jamie S. Avey and seconded by Michael R. Berger.
