North Butler board sets Feb. 10 hearing on proposed sale of seven 2022 buses

The North Butler Community School District Board of Education on Jan. 24 voted unanimously to set a public hearing for Feb. 10, 2025, on a proposal from Truck Center Companies to purchase seven 2022 Thomas Built SAF-TLINER C2 passenger buses at $60,000 each.
Director Amanda Lund introduced the resolution and moved its adoption; Director Jordan Nolz seconded. A roll call vote recorded the three members present — Amanda Lund, Jordan Nolz and Board President Ty Crawford-Miller — voting in favor; there were no votes against.
The resolution cites Iowa Code Section 297.22 as the legal basis for publishing notice of the proposed sale and receiving objections or petitions. The board set the hearing for Feb. 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Greene Media Center, 201 N. 5th Street, Greene, Iowa. The Board directed the Board Secretary to prepare, publish and distribute the required Notice of Hearing.
The resolution lists the seven buses to be included in the proposed sale. Each is identified as a 2022 Thomas Built SAF-TLINER C2 passenger bus with the following vehicle identification numbers: 4UZABRFC8NCMX9712; 4UZABRFC8NCMX9713; 4UZABRFC8NCMX9714; 4UZABRFC8NCMX9715; 4UZABRFC8NCMX9716; 4UZABRFC8NCMX9717; and 4UZABRFC8NCMX9718.
Business Manager and Board Secretary Shellee Bartlett was recorded as in attendance and charged with preparing the hearing notice. The meeting was called to order by Board President Ty Crawford-Miller at 12:00 p.m. in the Allison District Office and was adjourned at 12:01 p.m. after the action was taken.
The public hearing will allow members of the public to submit objections or petitions regarding the proposed sale.
