Riceville board approves policy readings and sets budget hearing schedule
Summary
The board approved a second reading of the 100-series policies, a first reading of the 200-series policies, and set March 20 and April 21 budget hearing dates. A board member was also authorized to attend the School Nutrition Association conference.
On Feb. 17, 2025, the Riceville Community School District Board approved the second reading of the 100-series board policies and completed a first reading of the 200-series policies.
Board Member Guertin moved and Board Member Hale seconded approval of the second reading of the 100-series policies; the motion passed 5–0. The board also approved the first reading of the 200-series policies in a separate motion recorded in the minutes.
The board set Budget Hearing #1 for March 20 at 6:25 p.m., Budget Hearing #2 for April 21 at 6:20 p.m., and a hearing to amend the fiscal year 2025 budget on April 21 at 6:25 p.m. The board approved Board Member Nancy Eastman’s attendance at the annual School Nutrition Association conference in San Antonio, Texas.
