Public Works Director Roger Nowell reported to the Antrim Township Municipal Authority that wastewater treatment operations are performing within expectations at the Feb. 23 meeting. He said average design flow (ADF) as of the end of January was 0.583 million gallons per day and provided nutrient projections: total nitrogen (TN) for the 2025–26 year is projected at 8,100 pounds with January at 636 pounds and the plant currently 13,818 pounds under that projection; total phosphorus (TP) for the year is projected at 2,055 pounds with January at 95 pounds and the plant 867 pounds under projection. Pump stations were reported to be experiencing normal operations.
Nowell also updated the board on local drought conditions, saying the township’s water table measured 14 feet with no supply issues; he noted conditions had dipped to 20 feet before recent rain improved levels.
The board received these operational updates and did not take formal action on operations during the meeting. Staff noted regulatory reports (Chapter 94, Pretreatment and Chapter 110/AWR) remain due March 31, 2026.
