The Riceville Community School District board on Dec. 15 approved an At‑Risk application totaling $101,828 and took multiple personnel and administrative actions during its organizational meeting.
By motion and roll call the board approved early retirements for teacher Carla Cray, building secretary Linda Byrnes and nurse Michelle Berentsen, and accepted the resignation of Sara Hollenbeck from the drumline. The board approved the hire of Tracy Geerts as custodian and Aubrey Orthr as a substitute teacher; the minutes record roll call votes described as all ayes for these actions.
