At its Jan. 8 meeting the Canton City Council approved a slate of routine administrative items.
The council approved the consent agenda, which included approval of the Dec. 11, 2024 meeting minutes, January disbursements, waiving the Town Hall rental fee for an American Red Cross blood drive and a $100 donation to Mabel-Canton Post Prom. The consent agenda motion was moved by Jen Dowling and seconded by Jason Magnuson and carried.
In new business the council approved Resolution 2025-05 adopting annual city appointments for 2025 and Resolution 2025-06 authorizing official signatures. The council also approved the purchase of three laptops for city staff from MiBroadband after a motion by Acting Mayor Kristy Ziegler, seconded by George Hafner; the meeting adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
