Reinbeck sets bid opening and hearing for Center Street water-main and street reconstruction

Councilmember Wambold said the project generally includes lowering water mains, replacing curb and gutter, installing storm sewer intakes and resurfacing with asphalt pavement. The council adopted Resolution #2026-08R to set the bid opening for March 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., and scheduled a public hearing on April 6, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
The resolution passed on a unanimous roll-call vote. Staff indicated the resolution will allow the city to solicit competitive bids and hold a public hearing on the project’s plans and estimated cost before awarding a contract.
