City Clerk/Administrator Jake Dickson introduced a draft Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to the Caledonia City Council on Feb. 24, saying the plan outlines capital spending priorities and longer-term revenue needs.
Dickson estimated that to meet expected vehicle replacements and infrastructure projects, the city would need to increase annual revenues by approximately $853,000. He said staff is exploring alternative revenue streams and is trying to identify options that avoid increasing property taxes. Dickson told the council he will continue to refine the plan and return it for further review.
