County staff request new HR and tax-collection positions; officials say new hires could pay for themselves

The tax official explained advertising for tax sales currently costs more than $10,000 per sale and that additional collections staff could generate more recovered revenue and offset their compensation costs. He told the board an added employee "will more than pay for itself." Commissioners asked for numbers showing expected additional collections and net revenue before approving new hires.
