Canby opens Small Cities Development Program hearing, later declines solar-array land sale in closed session

The Canby City Council opened a public hearing on April 2 to consider a Small Cities Development Program application. Later in the meeting the council voted to go into closed session under Minnesota Statute § 13D.05, subdivision 3(c), to consider potential sale/offers for part of E1/2NE1/4-3-114-45. Councilmember Marisa Kack moved to enter closed session and Councilmember Susan Cram seconded; the motion carried. After closed-session discussion, the minutes record that the city is not interested in selling any part of the parcel for a solar array.
The public hearing record shows no public testimony and no amendments to the proposed Small Cities Development Program application were recorded. The council then returned to open session and adjourned the meeting.
