Canby council approves $4,809.60 taser purchase using Public Safety Aid, certifies $222,612.21 in March vendor transactions

Chief Walker presented the equipment request. Councilmember Susan Cram moved to approve the purchase and Councilmember Marisa Kack seconded; the motion carried with all present voting in favor.
During the administrator’s report, City Administrator Bonnie Merritt said the city had submitted its final ARPA report. The council also reviewed vendor transactions for March and approved them by motion: Councilmember Diana Fliss moved to approve March vendor transactions totaling $222,612.21; Councilmember Kack seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Chief Walker also informed the council that Gary, a seasonal community service officer (CSO), will return to work on April 7 for a six-month period. The council did not record any opposition to the purchases or transactions during the meeting.
