Canby council approves grant-backed airport mower, authorizes DNR playground grant application and liquor license

Councilmember Denise Hanson moved to approve the agreement and Councilmember Marisa Kack seconded; the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
The mower purchase is for a total of $32,500, with the state covering 75% ($24,375) and the city responsible for the remaining 25% ($8,125). The council record notes the grant-supported purchase as part of airport equipment funding.
In other business, the council adopted Resolution 2025-03-19-2 authorizing the City of Canby to act as legal sponsor for an Outdoor Recreation Grant application to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for new playground equipment at Central Park.
