Canby awards $124,156 seal-coat contract, approves advertising for two street extensions

Sheila Krohse, attending virtually, presented the bid tabulation and recommended the low bidder. Councilmember Marisa Kack moved to award the contract, and Councilmember Susan Cram seconded the motion. All councilmembers voted in favor.
Krohse also discussed next steps for two street-extension projects — Lexington Avenue N. and Maple Avenue N. — and requested authorization to begin advertising for those projects. Councilmember Diana Fliss moved to allow staff to begin advertising; Councilmember Cram seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The council did not record any public comment on the projects during the meeting and did not amend the recommended award or the advertising authorization. The contract award and the advertising authorization will allow staff to proceed with project scheduling and contracting steps.
