Related street closings were approved earlier in the meeting: the council approved a request to close portions of Main Street on July 3 for the Fireman's Dance and the Lions Club received approval to close Main Street for a Movie Night on June 6. The council also approved a library street closing for a July 9 program.
What happens next: The council said RAGBRAI street-closing items will also be placed on the July agenda for any additional logistics. City staff will continue to coordinate volunteers and vendor placement, and the June 15 town hall is intended to finalize local arrangements.
