Council asks county and city attorney to review Bayview Pond repair bids

Council Member Lloyd Vetter urged that Attorney Ted Alliegro review the agreement and provide comments before the city takes any contractual action. Council also directed staff to arrange a meeting with Chisago County Soil and Water Conservation and Chisago County HRA/EDA to clarify ownership, maintenance responsibilities and technical causes of the failure. The minutes do not show the council awarding the contract or approving any bid at the meeting.
No vote to award the work was recorded; the council’s action was to seek legal review and county technical input. The minutes record the issue under old business and note that the council will pursue further review before proceeding.
