Denton maintenance staff asks trustees to budget $32,600 in equipment and security upgrades; tree debris removal approved

In the maintenance report, Blackledge asked that the board include in the upcoming budget a replacement mower (quote $16,000), smart locks for village buildings (quote $11,000) and barricades (quote $5,600). Trustees reached consensus to rent a grapple attachment for the bobcat to pick up downed trees and to haul the tree debris to the south well property.
For an immediate hazard, the board reached consensus to hire Jake Baker to remove a tree branch hanging over W Denton in the right-of-way.
The requests were recorded in the meeting minutes for consideration in the village budget process; no formal budget appropriation was made at the Aug. 5 meeting.
