Denton trustees approve audit waiver, claims and Keno transfer; approve routine purchases
Summary
The Village of Denton Board of Trustees carried motions to request an audit waiver for FY 2023–24, approved Claims Lists A and B and an interfund transfer of $40,000 from the Keno fund to the General Fund; purchases of tires and pallet racking were also approved.
At its Nov. 4, 2024 meeting, the Village of Denton Board of Trustees approved several financial and procurement actions.
Trustee Amanda Fangmeier moved to request an audit waiver for fiscal year 2023–24; the minutes record that the motion was seconded by Doug Rosekrans and that the motion carried. (Rosekrans is listed as absent in the meeting attendance; the minutes record his name as the second.)
The board approved Claims List A totaling $61,415.25 and Claims List B totaling $7,560.14, and approved October payroll of $14,234.22. The board additionally approved a transfer of $40,000 from the Keno fund to the General Fund.
The board also voted to purchase tires for the town pickup from Jay's Oil for $1,215.84 and to buy pallet racking from WinRack for $1,109. Both purchases were moved and seconded and were recorded as carried.
The clerk presented fund balances: General Fund $16,723.04; Water $1,476.51; Sewer $5,086.29; Streets $1,222.94; Water Bond $12,031.40; Community Center $118.11. The Keno report for Sept. 24 showed gross proceeds of $526,002.38, payout percent 85.59%, unclaimed wins $309.32, village share $37,129.49 and operator share $38,663.44.
