Highland council raises D1 liquor licenses to nine and issues D1 license to Big O’s Sports Bar

The Highland City Council on Feb. 3 amended the city’s alcoholic-liquor licensing to raise the number of “D1” licenses to nine and approved issuance of a D1 license to Big O’s Sports Bar Highland Square LLC.
Councilwoman Bellm moved to approve Bill #25-14, an ordinance amending Chapter 6 of the City Code to increase the number of D1 licenses; Councilman Frey seconded and the council voted aye on a unanimous roll call. Immediately afterward, Councilman Frey moved and Councilwoman Bellm seconded Bill #25-15 to issue a D1 license to Big O’s Sports Bar Highland Square LLC; that motion also carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
The motions and roll-call votes were recorded in the minutes; no amendments or conditions were recorded in the transcript. The council did not attach additional restrictions or qualifications on the license in the recorded motion.
