• Dentons engagement (Agenda item 5D): Council approved an engagement letter to retain Dentons for ongoing litigation defense at a reduced $300-per-hour rate. Staff described the contract as standard and recommended approval.
• Administrator compensation (Agenda item 5E): The council approved a 4% increase in the annual compensation for the city administrator Adam, after brief discussion about bonus history versus straight-percentage increases.
• Temporary-sign ordinance (Agenda item 5F): On third reading the council approved revisions to temporary sign rules (ordinance number 20248) that tie certain temporary-sign allowances to interior square footage and directed staff to notify businesses.
• Consent agenda: The consent agenda, including routine minutes and items, was approved by roll call.
