The Birmingham City Planning Board on June 24 unanimously postponed review of multiple Woodward-area agenda items to July 22, 2026, after applicants asked for more time to complete outstanding studies.
Staff said the applicant for 35001 and 35075 Woodward requested postponement of the community impact study (H1) and the preliminary site plan (J1) in order to continue work on a traffic impact study; the board voted to postpone both items to July 22. Separately, the special land use permit and final site plan for 260 North Old Woodward (items I1 and J2) were also moved to July 22 following a similar applicant request.
Board members voiced no substantive objections and no members of the public spoke in opposition. Each motion to postpone was moved and seconded and recorded as unanimous. Staff told the board the July 22 meeting will take those items up or return them to the agenda once materials are complete.
The postponements buy applicants time to refine traffic analyses and address department comments before the board makes a recommendation.
