Hills council approves consent agenda, schedules bulky-waste pickup and website contract; OKs Community Center use for March 7 event

The Hills City Council on Feb. 9 completed a series of routine actions and announcements, approving the consent agenda, setting a bulky-waste pickup date, agreeing to a website contract and allowing temporary use of the Community Center for a March 7 event.
Council Member Knebel moved to approve the consent agenda, which included the meeting agenda, Jan. 26 minutes, scheduled claims, receipts from Jan. 23–Feb. 5, 2026, and budget and treasurer reports; Rummelhart seconded and the motion carried on a 5–0 vote.
City Administrator Adriane Sedlacek announced a bulky-waste pickup day set for April 18 and told the council the city will enter a four-year contract with the current website vendor at $1,500 per year with a 6% increase over the four years (language taken from the meeting record). The Fire Department asked to use the Community Center for overflow at a celebration of life for the owner of Hills 218 Tap on March 7; the council agreed. Maintenance, Water and Sewer reported no items. Council Member Willette asked about tree-trimming letters; staff said the city will recheck properties at the end of March.
The meeting adjourned at 7:43 PM on a motion by Hudachek, seconded by Rummelhart. Minutes were attested by Adriane Sedlacek.
