Staff explained the next administrative step is review by the select board (referred to in early discussion as the "landing board"); the select board has a 60-day window to comment. The commission also discussed whether town staff or applicants should supply the historical and architectural descriptions used in nomination materials; commissioners said the commission typically drafts the report but incorporates homeowner input.
No formal vote on designation occurred at the meeting. Commissioners agreed to proceed with the municipal steps needed to place the study report on relevant agendas and to encourage appropriate representation at upcoming reviews.
