At the May 21 meeting Economic Development Specialist Chad Kuzontkoski distributed his written EDC report and announced that a new round of Tax Increment Financing grants is open to businesses in the TIF district.
Kuzontkoski said library staff received training for a kiosk that will be installed outside the library this summer. He also reported that the third annual Suffield Art Trail, held May 16, was well attended and that Suffield participated in the Bradley Development League Day at the Capitol on April 29 in Hartford.
On procedure, Commissioner John McGuire moved to accept the April 16, 2026 regular meeting minutes as presented; Commissioner Roger Murray seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The commission adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
Why it matters: Open grant rounds and public programming (kiosk and art trail) are tools the commission and town use to support local business activity and cultural engagement, and the recorded unanimous vote finalizes the previous month’s record.
