Introducing themself, Fahey recited the oath of office: "I, Jordan Fahey, do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of The United States of America and of the state of Minnesota and faithfully discharge the duties of the planning commission of the city of Hugo and the county of Washington and state of Minnesota to the best of my judgment and ability." The oath was administered and the commission welcomed the new member.
Commission business included a logistics announcement: a commissioner reminded members the commission's bus tour had been rescheduled for Oct. 25, meeting at Oneka Elementary at 9:30 a.m.; the tour was described as roughly two hours with lunch and an opportunity for discussion at the end.
