The City of Sigourney set a public hearing on the proposed tax notice for March 24, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall after the Finance Committee reviewed the proposal and recommended that the hearing be scheduled. City Clerk Ashley Fry said the finance committee had met and approved the proposed tax notice; Councilmember Lentz moved to set the public hearing and Councilmember Iosbaker seconded. The roll call recorded Ayes from Conrad, McLaughlin, Iosbaker, Lentz and Schultz and no Nays.
Separately, the council set a Finance Committee meeting for Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The minutes do not include the proposed tax rate or other details of the tax notice; those will be presented at the scheduled hearing.
