Sigourney council approves T‑Mobile internet at City Shop for reliable timecard connectivity

Public Works Director Brent Gilliland told the council the shop currently uses Cloudburst internet routed through the water-tower connection and that service can be intermittent. Councilmember McLaughlin moved to approve obtaining T‑Mobile internet; Councilmember Conrad seconded and the motion passed with Ayes recorded from Conrad, McLaughlin, Iosbaker, Lentz and Schultz.
Council minutes indicate the decision was driven by operational needs tied to the timecard system; no contract terms, costs or implementation timeline were included in the minutes.
