The Finance Committee of The Gilbert School District convened Jan. 15, 2025, and approved the minutes of the Nov. 20, 2024 meeting. Committee member Renata Waldron moved to approve the Nov. 20 minutes; Ellen Marino, the committee chair, seconded the motion, and the approval was unanimous.
Diane Cook, the district’s Business Affairs Manager, presented the November and December financial reports and said the district is "doing really well" and is "on track" as it heads into budget season. Cook also noted a mini-workshop with teaching points planned later in the month to support budget preparation and staff planning.
The committee scheduled a special finance meeting for Jan. 29, 2025, specifically to prepare the coming budget. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn at 6:23 p.m.; the motion was made by Renata Waldron, seconded by Ellen Marino, and carried unanimously.
The minutes indicate Scott Beecher was absent, excused. The minutes were submitted by Lauren Jones Dombrowski.
