Senate approves consent agenda and several technical measures, including computer‑security and environmental updates

Consent Agenda P, read by title and approved by the required two‑thirds majority (21–0), included multiple measures covering disposition of human remains, vehicle safety device rules, tattoo and body‑piercing regulations, utility customer protections, teacher scholarships, pupil transportation, reading competency, grants for nurse preceptors, and off‑highway vehicle regulation adjustments.
Separately, HB 381 requiring businesses to notify the Attorney General's office about computer security breaches within 60 days of determination was passed unanimously. House substitute 1 for HB 407, technical updates to the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act requested by DNREC that direct a portion of deposits to the Brownfields program and increase certain civil penalties, was also approved by roll call, 21–0. Senate Bill 345, a technical change replacing archaic references to minors and prostitution with the term "exploitation of a minor," passed 21–0.
These measures were advanced on roll calls during the floor session and are scheduled to proceed as the legislative process requires.
